Facts: In 1990, an auto accident occurred in Riverside, California.  Plaintiff, Brent, who was a 55 years old and visually impaired claimed injury. He contended that the Defendant, Garton, was at fault and that he suffered a severe injury to his head which affected his vision. He lost the vision in his right eye within a few weeks after the accident. The defendant argued that the accident did not cause this visual problem.
